Heuriger
This Riesling is a classic example of the variety. On the nose, it shows aromas of stone fruit, especially vineyard peach and ripe apricot.
On the palate, it has lively acidity, a pleasant balance of sweetness and acidity, and a full body. A fresh, elegant and straightforward Riesling with a firm structure and a very good balance between fruit and acidity.
The Hofbreite vineyard was first mentioned in 1141 and belongs to Heiligenkreuz Abbey. It is located in Thallern near Gumpoldskirchen at around 250 metres above sea level. The vineyards face west, and the deep soils consist of shell limestone and loamy sand.
Old vines and an excellent vineyard location give this wine its special character.
